The 5691gerg blog is researched and written by me, Greg Padley. It is part self examination, part self promotion and part exploration of my thoughts and this media.  And, all bloggers have to admit, there’s a certain amount (quite a bit) of narcissism to this process as well…

I find so many things interesting it would be impossible for me to specialize.

With over a decade of experience in marketing at medium companies and at mid-size agencies, I have led press tours, developed websites and social networking sites, sent media releases to the wrong people (and the right ones), created brochures and videos, purchased print media, developed e-newsletters, Internet programs and advertising, managed photoshoots, taken 50 mile mountain bike rides with editors, made way too many PPT presentations, and so on….

Another ten years of my time on this planet was spent racing mountain bikes professionally while working in small, independently owned retail shops (more on that via this link), writing freelance and attending college part-time.  Somewhere in there, found, dated and married a lovely woman and began a family…

5691gerg has been my handle on eBay for ages so it has translated into the title for this as well as Wikipedia, Twitter and other places on the Internet – Google it to read some of my other online ramblings.

“Jack Arse of All Trades“, the sub-title of the blog, comes from more of my thoughts the Jack of All Trades…. It may get changed at some point but for now it seems somewhat appropriate.
